Club North Volleyball -- Team Information

Club North 12-1: Coach: Patty Reynolds - Director of Club North, holds a Physical Education degree, and has been involved in youth sports for over 17 years. She has coached in several age divisions during Club season, and recreational and competitive teams the entire year, for KC Premiere. She is also the founder and director of KC Premiere Volleyball which has been in existence for 3 years.

Club North 12-2: Head Coach: Michelle Frazier - This is Michelle's 3^rd year of coaching for Club North. Michelle has been involved in volleyball for over 20 years by playing high school volleyball, playing in recreational leagues or coaching recreational and competitive volleyball teams. Michelle enjoys working with the athletes and helping them improve their skills. Michelle has assisted Patty with many aspects of KC Premiere and Club North.

Club North 13-1: Head Coach: Karen Svetlic - A player in her youth, captain of both JV and Varsity on her high school team in Chicago. Raised 4 children:2 of whom were full ride athletes at NCAA Division 1 programs. Karen has been a USAV coach for the past ten years. CAP Certified and trained at the Olympic Training Center. Trained 12-17's to a national level. She has qualified 7 of those 10 teams to a national level.

Club North 13-2: Head Coach: Mike Waner - Mike has been involved with volleyball for about 35 years beginning with the first men’s intramural league at Longview Junior College. After many years of playing in numerous adult leagues and tournaments, he started coaching in the junior girls program in 1998. He is a CAP II certified coach with USAV and the current freshmen VB coach at Raytown South H.S.

Club North13-2: Assistant Coach: Randy Francis - During the fall, spring and summer seasons he has coached Becca’s club team to several league championships. After participating in a coaching clinic presented by USA Volleyball in the fall of 2005, he served as the head coach for one of Club North’s under 15’s teams.

Club North 13-3: Head Coach: Brooke Matthys - Brooke played for 4 years in high school and also has played club for 6 years and its her second year coaching club. She believes in a positive environment in helping the participants at all levels. This is Brooke’s 1^st year with Club North, and we are glad to have her on board.

Club North 14-1: Head Coach: Trevor Bash - Trevor has been associated with Club North Volleyball since the early days, playing as well as coaching. He is an experienced coach who has been playing and coaching volleyball for over 15 years. Trevor’s coaching philosophy is to teach fundamentals, encourage team work, and foster passion for the game. His club coaching experience includes teams at the 12, 13, 16 & 17 levels. Club North is proud to have to have Trevor on board this year.

Club North 14-2: Coach: Mike Nielsen - Mike was born and raised in the northland and is a Park Hill graduate. In 1994 he played for Team KC, 1995-1996-Club North, 1997- KC Smash, 1998-BVAC, 1999-The Urge (13^th at Club Nationals), 2000-2004-Graceland University. In 2005, Mike Coached Graceland’s JV Men’s Team, 2006 Assistant Coach 18’s for Club North, 2007-Head Coach of the 17’s Club North Team. This is his 3^rd year of returning to Club North as a coach.

Club North 14-3: Coach: Mike Nielsen - Mike was born and raised in the northland and is a Park Hill graduate. In 2005, Mike Coached Graceland’s JV Men’s Team, 2006 Assistant Coach 18’s for Club North, 2007-Head Coach of the 17’s Club North Team. This is his 3^rd year of returning to Club North as a coach.

Club North 15-1: Coach: Hank Brickman - He has 14 years experience with our club, coaching the 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 teams. He is a past volleyball commissioner for a local league and has 4 years of additional volleyball coaching experiences at different levels. He has coached in nearly 1,800 games and his teams have placed significantly high in various HOA Regional Tournaments and National Qualifiers. hbrick3271@aol.com.

Club North 15-1-Assistant Coach - Karen Brown enjoys playing and coaching volleyball and working individually with the players, helping them improve their skills. Her 8 years experience include 5 years at Club North coaching the 12G, and 13G teams, as well as assisting with 14G, 15G and 16G teams and working with players at the beginning level of fun volleyball. She believes volleyball is a lifetime sport and currently plays competitively twice a week in addition to coaching duties.

Club North 15-2: Head Coach: Jodi Smith - This will be my 3rd year with Club North. I have played volleyball for Northwest Missouri State as an OH and DS. I coached at Avila College for 3 years, leaving them with a Conference Championship. I am currently coaching my two younger daughters in the Premier league and I am the head cheerleader for the Parkhill South freshman team where my older daughter plays.

Club North 15-3: Head Coach: Chris Bair - Chris has been coaching a number of different sports at the recreational and semi-competitive levels for the past 11 years. He switched from baseball and soccer six years ago to coach recreational volleyball exclusively. He is a strong fundamental coach and loves working with the kids at all levels. He coached in the summer premiere league last summer and his team really responded to his coaching style and is now ready to take a competitive team.

Club North 16-1: Head Coach: Carl Sharp - Carl has been with Club North for 15 years, and he has been involved with training volleyball players and he has worked with the full spectrum of ages. He has also coached for Therese (6 years) and St. Charles (Present) in the parochial league; St. Pius high school freshmen (1 year), and has designed a unique set of volleyball camps (3 years) and individualized training sessions. He also plays both competitive indoor and sand volleyball. . . and of course. . . loves the game!!! - 15th Year Club North VBC

Club North 16-2: Head Coach: Jacqui Wood - She graduated in 2005 from Foothill High in Tustin, California and played for Orange County Volleyball Club for 4 years. She is currently attending UMKC, and is in her 3^rd year playing volleyball there. This is my second year with the club yet I have been coaching for the past 4 years. As a coach I not only want to teach my players the fundamentals and skills it takes to succeed on the court, but I also want to instill in them what it takes to succeed in life. I want to share my knowledge of the game with my players and even hope to learn from them as well.

Club North 17-1: Head Coach: Jason Long - Jason coached the boys Club North team for the first year in 1992 and played USVBA for three years. He has been coaching in other sports for roughly three years throughout my life. I like to play the sport and I am blessed that I get too coach the younger players. The girls that I coached last year improved their stats, won 1^st place in our first tournament, moved up in the overall ranking. This is Jason 2^nd returning year to Club North.

Club North 18-1: Coach: Matthew Striegel - Matt is in his 6^th year coaching, 5^th year with Club North and this will be his 2^nd year in a row coaching 18’s. Last year one of his girls got a scholarship to Park University and another one walked on at UMKC. Matt is a University of Northern Iowa alum and also currently runs a men’s AA team in Kansas City.
